We are seeking a dynamic instructor to join our academic team in Fall 2017 to teach Western Pathology.
Western Pathology is a single section, three-hour course that meets once a week during Fall, Winter, and
The purpose of this course sequence is to familiarize students with the pathophysiologic processes
underlying diseases, help them recognize clinical presentations of common illnesses and begin to develop
evidence-based clinical judgment skills. A broad range of diseases will be covered in didactic fashion, and
students will also need to research and assess original scientific studies. Students will also begin to develop
knowledge of Western medical concepts that will be required before they can enter their clinical rotations.
The curriculum and syllabi for this course have been created, and clerical TA support will be provided.
This position reports to the Dean of Master’s Studies. Pay range for teaching Western Pathology is $80-$100
per instructional hour.
The successful candidate for this position will have a deep commitment to both teaching and clinical
